Two Books via Mickey Bogart
Yesterday I had a wonderful opportunity to visit with one of my favorite high school teachers, Mrs. Bogart — and it was a wonderful visit. She recommended both of the books pictured here. Mrs. Bogart is part of a book club that began in her church and has since expanded to include other members of the Meadowlark in Manhattan community. Both titles have officially been added to my reading list!
I read Heather Cox Richardson’s How the South Won the Civil War several years ago and have been following her ever since — both through her Substack newsletter and on YouTube. Excited to dive into Democracy Awakening next. And John Pavlovitz is exactly the kind of voice we need right now.
So grateful for teachers who keep teaching us, long after we’ve left the classroom. 📚
