Disgraceful Racism at DoD by The Secretary of War Crimes and Misogyny
Gaslighting and racial / gender based purges of leadership continue
This news cuts me deeply. Pete Hegseth, a man unfit to serve in uniform much less as the Secretary of Defense of the United States of America, continues to purge our military leadership ranks of both women and officers of color. He refuses to explain his actions directly, gaslighting the public saying decisions are not made on the basis of race or gender. This is a lie. The record speaks. My heart and prayers are with our men and women in uniform, and I pray for the return of ethical and competent leadership in the Pentagon and the White House. I’m also advocating for both political and cultural change in our nation and world.
“The military I left in 2021 feels very different from the one we are watching today,” she wrote in an online essay. “In some ways, it feels like we are watching hard-won progress move backward in real time. That is the part I cannot shake. Because if I am honest, I now find myself wondering: Would I want my own children to enter a system like this?”

According to Task & Purpose, the Navy has not promoted a woman from captain to rear admiral since last June, when three women were selected. Since December 2025, 29 men have been promoted or assigned to new admiral positions, with no women included.
